Everything you need to know about a Serial Killer
Childhood
It is inferred that a traumatic childhood, along with brain abnormalities, is what drove the killer to commit countless acts of murder. Most serial killers suffered from abuse -- mental, physical, or sexual as a child. Rejection is yet another reason behind the murders. Most serial killers live in constant fear of rejection because at a young age they were both rejected and neglected. CategoriesIn an effort to grasp serial murderers' motives and psychology, the FBI created the Behavioral Science Unit in 1974. From there, they interviewed various serial killers. BSU was then able to organize the murderers into 3 groups:
1. The Organized- These murderers plan their crimes out. They usually choose their victim and stalk him/her or lure him/her with ploys. Once they capture their victim, they take him/her to a second location and commit the murder. Then, they take the body to a third location and dispose of it. There's hardly and evidence on organized serial killers. They have an abnormally high IQ and are the most dangerous type because they are the hardest to catch.

Their Targets
There seems to be a pattern when you study the murders of a serial killer. Sometimes its the use of a certain weapon. Other times, its the victims' race, age, or gender. It could also be the person's profession or maybe even the symbols on the person's body. All in all, serial killers' typical targets are victims who are physically weaker than them, such as women and children. 2. The Unorganized- These killers have no official plan. Their sprees are spontaneous. The victims usually just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Disorganzied killers hardly ever carry weapons with them; they use whatever is near them, such as: rocks, glass, etc. These particular killers are usually mentally ill with low IQs. They make no effort to dispose of the bodies, instead they keep them as "souvenirs" or family. Some live with the bodies and treat them as family. They figure that these bodies can't reject them; rejection is serial killers' biggest insecurity. Not only do they treat these bodies as family, they also make no effort to cover up the evidence. Which is why these particular killers are easier to catch. 3. The Mixed- These serial killers fall in a category that is both organized and unorganized. Some are under the infuence of alcohol or drugs during their rampages. Others had a plan in the beginning, but once they began murdering people. they lost track of their priorites and disregarded any planning that they made beforehand. Organized killers can definitely be labeled as psychopaths, whereas disorganized killers can be classified as either psychopaths or psychotic beings. "I dont feel guilty for anything. I feel sorry for people who feel guilt." -Ted Bundy |
